Apart From War - Syracuse University

This website was built in collaboration with the Syracuse University News 21 team in an effort to tell the story of what happens to war veterans after returning home. This site has received national attention and was featured on NPR.

Syracuse asked us to help them develop a website that was visually compelling and user friendly. We were tasked with building a platform that would showcase the content of the site and not distract the user from the story.

The site also includes a blog that students used regularly during the development of their story content. The blog included video, JQuery, flash, and custom functionality to support a single post with multiple authors.

The Stories page includes a very customized JQuery thumbnail scroller. We also developed a unique slideshow player for image galleries as well as an extremely custom video player that allows commenting at a specific time during playback.

This site was also built to work on mobile platforms including the iphone and ipad.
